Blooming Good

“Blooming Good”  celebrates how we all can seed and spread kindness in surprising, simple, and sometimes unexpected ways.

Each month I write a short flash fiction story inspired by positive deeds and experiences in my life, and ones that you share with me.

Many thanks to my Asheville “animal neighbors” for inspiring this month’s flash fiction story, titled “My Dear Deer.”

The deer around our house have multiplied and mellowed –  we now say “excuse me” when they loiter on the driveway and “baby sit” the newborns in our field.

Many thanks to my neighbors in Harrisburg, PA for inspiring this story. I lived there in the 1970s, spending five years with the kindest of people.

Many thanks to Paula N. for sharing her adult daughter’s unfulfilled wish which inspired this month’s story.

Many thanks to Kath S. for inspiring this story by noting the community refrigerators that appeared on NYC streets in 2020.
